Young Adult Support Group

Young Adult Support Group

The weight of the world seems to be resting heavily on our shoulders, and we feel overwhelmed by the challenges and uncertainties that we face each day. It can be difficult to find strength to carry on when the load feels too heavy to bear.
But we want you to know that you are not alone in your struggles. We are all in this together and we can support each other through even the darkest moments. When we reach out to one another, we can share our burdens and find comfort in knowing that we are not facing our struggles alone.
Our young adult support group meets once a month to support and uplift one another by means of words of inspiration, active listening, and prayers.

Upper Room Youth Group

Upper Room Youth Group

Meet Elham Ariane, one of our Upper Room Youth Group attendees. People around her describe Elham Ariane as a very shy type of girl. According to her, before attending the Upper Room, she had only a few friends. Let’s read about her first visit to Upper Room Youth Group and how she met her BEST FRIEND:
“The Upper Room Youth Group was introduced to me by my cousin. It was April of 2022 when I first attended the Upper Room Youth Group. I was really very hesitant and very shy. The program started with a prayer. Everyone bowed their heads and closed their eyes while I curiously looked at them. Worship came, everyone was singing their hearts out, and some were raising their hands while I secretly laughed—this is new to me! Afterwards, we played a teamwork game, and everyone was so happy to cheer for me. I was so shocked because they barely knew me. Then testimony came. Gratitude covered the room. Some shared their life stories. This was the time when I felt that something touched my heart. Devotion was next. I learned a lot about the Word of God. The message that was shared by Kuya Anthony really embraced my soul. To me, it was something new and powerful. And it felt like it was what I had been missing. That day, I went home with a grateful heart. I gained new friends. And above all, I gained my BEST FRIEND—Jesus!” —Elham Ariane
After 11 months of attending the Upper Room, Elham Ariane now actively goes to church every Sunday. She also invited her two cousins, who are now actively attending our Upper Room.
