Introducing Noemi, an active member of our Landfill Community Bible Study Group. Noemi’s journey as a member of our Thursday Bible Study in the landfill area has been nothing short of transformative. Through the gatherings, she not only discovered the power of prayer but also found gratitude in every circumstance, despite being poor.
“I continuously attend the Bible Study and Fellowship because I feel blessed and guided along the righteous path. I am learning so many things such as If you believe in God, nothing is impossible,” shared Noemi.
With her husband working as a welder and six children to care for, Noemi’s life is a testament to perseverance in the face of hardship. She revealed the harsh reality of resorting to “pagpag,” a Tagalog term for discarded food, to ease her family’s growling stomach.
“”I am filled with happiness because my prayers have been answered by the Lord. After many years, our house finally has electricity,” Noemi exclaimed with excitement.
Yet, amidst the struggle, Noemi remains strong. She diligently collects and sells recyclables, leveraging every opportunity to provide for her family’s needs and secure her children’s education. From selling used cans and metals to venturing into online beauty product sales, she epitomizes the spirit of resourcefulness and determination.
Proudly, she shares the progress of her eldest son, nearing the completion of his Criminology studies despite the odds stacked against them. Noemi’s unwavering dedication to her family’s well-being and her unwavering faith in God’s guidance serve as an inspiration. Indeed, with God, nothing is impossible.
