Meet Jaynelle, a 17-year-old mom from Landfill, Olongapo City.
Before discovering Project Life Subic (PLS), Jaynelle struggled with her faith and rarely left home due to the responsibilities of young motherhood. In February 2023, she was introduced to the foundation by her mother, a former sewing student at PLS.
“At first, I was shy and hesitant to attend Project Life because I was afraid people would discriminate against me for being a young mom. But when I attended, the opposite happened. Project Life supported me, and I didn’t experience any discrimination,” Jaynelle shared.
With the help of Project Life Subic’s Alternative Learning System, she was able to return to school, proudly completing her Junior High School this year. Now, she’s continuing her studies in Senior High.
Beyond education, Jaynelle discovered her passion for serving. She is now an active participant and volunteer on our worship team during the weekly Bible study at the landfill.
Jaynelle’s story is a powerful reminder of how God is transforming lives in the most unexpected places. From a shy young mother to an inspiring role model, her journey is a testament to the hope and opportunities that Project Life Subic brings to the community.
