Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of Nanay Lourdes , a beloved member of our Landfill Community family.

Nanay Lourdes was a devoted mother who spent much of her life scavenging just to provide for her children. She endured hardship with quiet strength, humility, and perseverance. Though life was never easy, she carried on with courage that inspired everyone who knew her.
In her later years, she found hope, healing, and a true sense of belonging through our Landfill Community Sunday Bible Study. Week after week, she faithfully attended, listening intently to God’s Word, offering gentle smiles, and encouraging others through her quiet presence. Her faith in the Lord grew deeply, and it became evident in the peace and joy she carried.

Nanay Lourdes often reminded us:
“The Lord is my God—whom I loved more than my very own life. Unahin mo muna ang Panginoon bago ang sarili.”
Today, we remember her not only for her perseverance but for her renewed heart and unwavering faith until the end. Her life is a testimony that even in the hardest places, God’s love can restore hope and dignity.
We will miss you dearly, Nanay Lourdes. Your gentle spirit, faithful heart, and love for the Lord will remain in our hearts forever.
