Pastor John Corcoran went home to Jesus today, a joyous occasion for him, but a huge loss for Project Life Subic. He was our dear friend, board member, chaplain, and brother in Christ. Please pray for his wife Meriam and for the family. We will miss you so much Brother John E. Corcoran!
IT’S OFFICIAL! The Project Life Subic Sewing Training Center will be providing a place for TESDA NCII Dressmaking and NCII Industrial Sewing certification exams. This will be the first location in Zambales providing this opportunity for those who need certification to obtain better jobs here and abroad. The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, or TESDA, is the government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development in the Philippines. We are happy to be collaborating with them to help locals secure a better future for themselves and their families!
The Sewing Center celebrated the GRADUATION of Batch #24! Congrats to all of the students. God bless you as you use your new skills to find jobs and enrich your future.
An update from Adrianna- Care groups happen once a month at both youth groups and it is a time that we bring forth a topic and we have discussion questions and all share our thoughts and answers. After the discussion the group leader then shares a short devotion on the topic and we close with prayer requests and praying over one another. During my time here volunteering I will be leading the girls care group! The topic for the week was Bible reading and our focus was to really challenge the youth to read their Bibles more often and more deeply. The youth were wonderful participants in the care group and each girl had so much thought and insight to share. It is really an opportunity to make the lesson more personal and help them think of how they specifically can apply it to their lives, as opposed to a group message. I have loved my first time leading and I look forward to more chances again in the coming months!
